‘Savile Club Fanfare’; ‘Sinfonietta No 2’; ‘Turtle Drum’ (arr. T. Bowers) performed by the Malcolm Arnold Academy & The Malcolm Arnold Festival Strings, conductor Hilary Davan Wetton.
12.15 – ‘Arnold for 2’. ‘Electra for flute and percussion’; ‘Divertimento for 2 clarinets’;’ Duo for flute and viola’; ‘Duo for 2 cellos’;’ Fanfare for Louis’; ‘Fantasy for flute and guitar’
14.00 – ‘Malcolm and Widdy’. Alice Pinto talks about the relationship between Malcolm Arnold and Ruth Gipps including performances of music by both composers.
15.30 - Piano recital and launch of new CD of Malcolm Arnold’s piano music by Scott Mitchell.
19.30 – Northampton Symphony Orchestra, conductor John Gibbons, perform ‘Peterloo’, ‘Stolen Face’ and the ‘Variations on a theme of Ruth Gipps’ at St Matthews’ Church, Northampton.

12.00 – Northampton County Youth Orchestra.
14.00 - John Griff discusses Malcolm Arnold 'In Interview'.
15.30 – A concert of guitar music including Malcolm Arnold’s ‘Concerto for Guitar’; ’Serenade for Guitar and Strings’; and ‘Fantasy for solo Guitar. Michael Button (guitar)
18.30 – An informal concert of music by Malcolm Arnold, presented by the Malcolm Arnold Academy.
19.30 – Gala concert with the BBC Concert Orchestra, conductor Barry Wordsworth: ‘Arnold and Shostakovich’. Programme to include performances of Malcolm Arnold’s ‘Symphony 2’ & ‘Homage to the Queen Suite’, and Dimitri Shostakovich’s ‘Symphony 9’ & ‘Piano Concerto No 2’.
